Welcome to Main Chorus!

Hello and Welcome, 

We had a great first Main Rehearsal this past Monday and are thrilled to be off to a great start to the season. It was wonderful to see both familiar and new faces. 

Staying Connected & Chorister Resources

Throughout the season, we will be communicating by email for any important Main Chorus reminders, announcements, resources, etc. In particular, we will be using this Google Doc as our landing page for Main Chorus. Please 'bookmark' this page for easy access. In the doc, you'll find a rehearsal summary, our slides, and the 'homework' for each rehearsal.

We would like to encourage our Main Choristers to start building their communication skills, too! If choristers have an email address that they would like to use with us, please share this email with us, and I'll share the above document with choristers too.

You should also be receiving a weekly VIVA Newsletter email and a copy of the Chorister Handbook; do let us know if you have yet to receive this!  

Our Team

This year, we welcome our TAs James and Lauren who will be passing the baton in support of our amazing choristers. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome Alessia as our Assistant Conductor. She is a skilled educator! You'll see us working collaboratively throughout the season. Sometimes I'll be taking the lead conducting, and other times (like next week when I am away for a recurring commitment at my school, approximately once a month), you'll see Alessia at the helm. 

Materials

Please bring your sheet music (in your choir folder), pencil, and theory book to every rehearsal. New choristers will be having an assessment with our theory coordinator, Dr. Tyler Versluis, next Monday to ensure they are fitted with the right level book. Returning choristers should locate and bring their theory books to the next rehearsal, if they have not already done so.
